Applicants are required to take the following steps in order to be admitted to the roll of solicitors in England and Wales:

1. Apply to the Law Society for a certificate of eligibility to take the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test — fee £400.00.
2. Apply to take the test to one of the test providers — details are available from the providers with dates and venues — names and addresses are found on the Law Society link below to download all the relevant forms and information.
3. Apply to the Law Society for a standard disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau — fee £47.00
4. Apply to the Law Society for admission to the roll of solicitors — fee £100.00.
