Solicitor – 3 Years’ PQE – Court of Protection  - LYMINGTON - HAMPSHIRE 

This highly successful law firm in the South East are looking for a Solicitor of 3YRS PQE who has previous experience and a strong interest in Court of Protection (COP) work to join their strong and well established COP team.  This is a growing area within their Wealth Management department and the new post is one that they have created to further develop the work.  Candidates must have the intellectual capacity to set up effective systems to manage the work, the desire to help develop the work and the ability to manage the existing team. Successful candidates will:- 

·         have previous deputyship experience

·         have the credibility to command the confidence of staff, clients and referrers of work

·         have previous supervisory/management experience

·         have a good knowledge of the workings of the Court

·         have a good knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Health and Social Services Act

·         be able to deal swiftly, firmly but empathetically with issues concerning vulnerable children and adults

·         have excellent business development and client retention skills

·         have a high level of technical expertise

·         have excellent client handling skills

·         have excellent communication skills and good interpersonal skills

·         have excellent IT skills

Skills/Experience/Qualifications Required:Solicitor 3YRS PQE, previous exp in Court of Protection work and knowledge of the workings of the Court. Experience of setting up effective systems to manage the work and ability to manage an existing team.
